After a fun-filled month, with family and friends, it's time for me to slow down, to rest and to nurture myself.
One of the ways I'm nurturing myself is to sip this tea:
- a slice of ginger
- cinnamon stick
- two cardamon pods
- two cloves
- filtered water
Place ingredients in a medium size saucepan.
Simmer on the stove for a few minutes.
Pour into a mug. Add some honey to taste. Enjoy.
How do you nurture yourself when you're feeling tired and unwell?
I have had a tea similiar to this, delish.
ReplyDeleteI hit the bath with a cup of tea and a book, always feel so much better after that.
Take care!
Your tea sounds delicious and so simple to make too! When I'm feeling low or like I'm getting sick, I try to take a bath with some lavender essential oils, and some music. I find it takes care of both body and soul :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim and Sunshine Mama.
ReplyDeleteI will have a bath tonight with a cup of tea, a magazine and some lavender oil. Sounds just perfect!! xxoo
I have all the ingredients, why not make it right now? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteTea is a great way nurture ourselves. I'm going to have to try your tea. Thanks. For me to nurture is to go for a walk in the woods, where it is quiet. I like to think, reflect and share my thoughts among the trees. xo
ReplyDeleteA walk in the woods sounds very relaxing Joyce. Thank you for visiting my blog. xxoo
DeleteI just took a quick visit on your blog. I will be back!! xo
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to get into drinking tea. This could be a very helpful recipe! I imagine myself drinking it in my ceramic mug made by my friend Beth while I'm wrapped in a shawl and knitting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to drink tea Donna, in a mug made by your friend, wrapped in a shawl and knitting. Sounds perfect. Does Beth sell her mugs online? xxoo
ReplyDeleteWhen I need to take care of myself I try to cancel whatever outings I can, curl up on the couch with a quilt and good book and stay there for as long as possible. Once in a while I remind myself to go climb into our big tub in the bsmt - which I did a couple days ago. Relaxing, but I almost never take the time.
